Navigate the city for free with a Barcelona Travelcard, included in your Barcelona City Pass sightseeing package. The travelcard is another great way to save time and money, as you won’t be waiting hours standing in line to buy daily travelcards to get from place to place. You can start using the Travelcard as soon as you land in Barcelona as it can be used on the train, metro, or bus to get into Central Barcelona. 

What is the Barcelona Travelcard and what does it include?

  • Metro network of TMB (Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona)
  • Regular bus network of TMB
  • Train (Rodalies), metro (L9) or bus (TMB) from/to the airport Barcelona-El Prat
  • City network of FGC
  • Tram
  • Rodalies trains within Zone 1
  • Funicular Montjuic - mountain railway

The metro runs from 05.00 until midnight (Mon-Thu, Sun) and until 02.00 on Fridays. On Saturdays, it runs for 24hours. Bus timetables vary according to the type of day: weekday, Saturday or public holiday. 

Children under 4 can travel for free on public transport. 

TIP: If you are traveling to Barcelona during a public holiday there might be some line closures on the public transport networks, so it is always best to plan your route in advance to avoid disappointment or delays: https://www.tmb.cat/en
