The Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar was built between 1329 and 1384 and is a good example of true Catalan Gothic architecture. The basilica is very well preserved and, because of its exceptional acoustics, also a popular place for concerts. What is impressive about the basilica are the large columns and the colorful windows, which create a unique atmosphere.
