Barcelona hop-on hop-off bus tour timetable

The buses run all year round, with the exception of Christmas Day (25th December) and New Year's Day (1st January). 

Duration: The estimated journey time for each route is approximately 2 hours to 2 hours 30 minutes, depending on the time of year. 

Departure time: The bus tour starts at 9.00 am and the last tour at 7.00 pm from bus stop 1 at Plaça Catalunya. Departure times vary between 7 and 25 minutes, depending on the time of year.

 

Use of your Ho-Ho ticket

Your Barcelona City Pass includes a ticket for the hop-on hop-off bus. 

You can hop on at any bus stop, show your Barcelona City Pass QR code to the tour guide on the hop-on hop-off bus and you will receive your ticket for the city tour. This ticket is then valid for 24 hours. You can hop on and off as often as you like.

 

Special conditions of use Hop-on-Hop-off bus tour: Barcelona

  • Accessibility: Every Barcelona City Tour bus has a ramp and an exclusive area for wheelchair users. There is space for a maximum of one wheelchair user on each bus. 
  • Open upper deck: Most of the buses are equipped with a sliding roof, which is only closed when it rains. Alternatively, you can stay in the air-conditioned lower deck of the bus. 
  • Safety instructions: During the entire bus journey, you must follow the Barcelona City Tour safety instructions, which will be communicated to you by the accompanying staff or in the audio guide recording. This includes standing up, eating, drinking, opening umbrellas on the upper deck or leaving objects sticking out of the bus during the journey. 
  • Smoking: Smoking, including e-cigarettes, is prohibited on all buses. 
  •  Animals: Animals are not allowed on the Barcelona City Tour, with the exception of guide dogs. 
  • Pushchairs: You can board the bus with a pushchair. However, the pushchair should be parked on the lower deck, ideally folded up, in the area designated for wheelchair users. If a wheelchair user boards the bus, they have priority and the pushchair may have to be removed. 
  • Luggage: Unfortunately, the buses do not have a luggage compartment, so you can only take small hand luggage that does not block a seat or the aisle and emergency exits. Larger suitcases or other bulky items of luggage cannot be transported.
