The Museu d’Història de Catalunya is directly located at the harbor and shows the Catalan history from the Stone Age to the New Age. The museum mainly focuses on the time of hunter-gatherer, the rule of the Iberians, the Middle Age, the time of the oppression of the Catalan culture and the years of the dictatorship of Franco. Another part of the museum are temporary exhibitions that take place regularly. A further highlight is a café on the roof top which offers a breathtaking view on the Montjuic and the harbor.
