With the "Golondrinas" you experience the maritime Barcelona from a completely different perspective.
The company "Las Golondrinas", which translates as "the swallows", started operations on the occasion of the 1888 World Exhibition and for the first time showed visitors the harbour from the sea during a cruise in Barcelona. Today, Las Golondrinas is the only company which carries out Barcelona boat tours. On this 35-minute boat trip Barcelona you will get to know the marina, the fishing port and the cargo port of Barcelona. You pass the Torre del Rellotge, today a clock, formerly a lighthouse. Afterwards you pass the entrance to the fishing port during the boat trip Barcelona, continue under the bridge "Pont de la Porta d'Europa". This bridge can be folded up for the large container ships. Then it goes to the Moll Contradic, where bulk goods such as wheat are loaded. You also drive to the container terminal, where huge cranes are waiting to unload and reload gigantic container ships within a few hours. Finally, you will see the car loading points.
SEAT has its plants near Barcelona. The return journey takes you past the outer berths of the cruise ships.
