Beschreibung AquaDom & SEA LIFE Berlin

The Sea Life Centre is located in the heart of Berlin. Both children and adults can learn about both indigenous and exotic fish varieties here. The lifelike, simulated pools and the deep sea tunnel will take you to the exciting world of the sea. Learn more about the 5,000+ animals in Sea Life Centre Berlin either when friendly workers come feed them or via lectures.

Many of the animals in the Sea Life Centre are on the list of endangered species and were rescued and brought here to be cared for and some were also born in the Sea Life Centre. However, most animals are not able to reintegrate into their natural environment.

The most popular animals in the Sea Life Centre are their eagle rays, octopi, seahorses, and clown fishes.

The Sea Life is divided into different parts. In the touching pool, you can touch sea stars and sea anemone and learn about what they like to eat. Something especially interesting to see are feeding sessions. Every day at 11.30 AM, you can witness fish swarming to be fed food. You can also observe a feeding session at the Atlantic Ocean area on Mondays & Thursdays at 1.30 PM, or on Tuesdays & Fridays at the Ray Pools. In the Rocky Shore area, you can see feeding sessions on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 1.30 PM, as well as on Mondays at 3.30 PM. The often-visited eagle rays get fed on Sundays at 1.30 PM and at 3.30 PM on Tuesdays and Saturdays for the visitors. The wolfish (sea wolves) are fed on Thursdays at 3.30 PM. Feeding sessions take place every day in the Aquadom, except for on Wednesdays at 2.00 PM. The Aquadom is a special feature of Sea Life in Berlin. It includes the largest salt water aquarium in the world. Additionally, an elevator can also be found in this 25 meter long tall cylindrical-shaped pool, where you can observe the fish. Experience the world under the sea up close and learn more about the environments where fish live in.
