The museum was constructed in the 1940s and also was called "Camel-Riding House" or "Beit Al Rekab". Originally the building was used as stable where horses and camels were trained in the interior courtyard.
Visiting the Camel Museum you can learn all about how to look after, maintain and manage camels and learn about how they are used as transportation. The museum also deals with the exploitation that comes along with the mindset of the camels only being a mean of transport.
