In the heart of the historic center of Florence, in the historic location of Via deiServi (200 meters from the Piazza of the Duomo Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore and a few steps from the Galleria dell'Accademia), is the innovative, interactive, multimedia and educational museum dedicated to Leonardo da Vinci. Open since 2003, the exhibition is the result of years of studies and research with the aim of shedding light on the thoughts of this great man, a genius of the mechanical arts, artist, painter, and myth of the Renaissance. It is an opportunity to immerse yourself in a timeless and welcoming atmosphere, an exciting journey to discover Leonardo and over 50 inventions drawn from his codes, exhibited in their original dimensions. The visitor is involved in an original, interactive, narrative and multimedia experience that highlights the figure of Leonardo as an engineer of the Renaissance, enhancing his mathematical-mechanical vision of the world and his passion for emulating nature. Visitors are able to directly experience and test out the inventions, keeping Leonardo's extraordinary past alive.

Within the museum you may also find a presentation of his anatomical studies and the possibility to experiment with the principles of physics and mechanics that Leonardo introduced in his writings. Finally, you can admire the backlit reproduction of his most prominent paintings, displayed in real size and in high resolution to enhance their details, without the barrier of safety distances present in the museums that display the originals of these works. The visit is completed by a workshop area that allows visitors to construct Leonardo's bridge and dome designs, and to assemble the most fascinating platonic solids, one of the subjects in which Leonardo took a particular interest.
