Validity of the public transport ticket in the Hamburg City Pass

The Hamburg transport ticket in the AB area of the HVV is included in your Hamburg City Pass and is valid all day on the selected calendar days until 6 am of the following day. You do not have to validate the ticket, you can simply get on and travel as much as you like during your validity period. Your ticket is valid on all lines in the HVV, regardless of whether you are travelling by bus, train or ferry.

Please print out your Hamburg ticket (you will receive it automatically by e-mail after your booking) so that you can present it at any controls. During the night from Friday to Saturday, Saturday to Sunday or a public holiday, the subways, suburban trains and city buses run around the clock. 

Free travel on the public transport system to Hamburgs attractions

The HVV takes you comfortably to all the attractions included in the Hamburg City Pass. You can use Hamburg's metros, suburban trains, busses, express buses and harbor ferries without limits. Enjoy the view from "above", because most of the underground trains in Hamburg do not run underground, but mostly on piles. You will be treated to great views during your journey. Area of validity of your Hamburg public transport ticket

The grey circle in the map determines the limits of the Hamburg AB area. For your stay in Hamburg, the AB area is sufficient to easily reach all the museums and sights of the Hamburg City Pass. You do not have to pay for another ticket or study the fare system.

If you wish to use public transport outside the AB area, please buy a supplementary ticket at one of the ticket machines or at the HVV service points. For further information on your personal route in the surrounding area, please visit the HVV website or ask the HVV staff on site.

The travels to and from Hamburg Airport are included

From Hamburg Airport you can easily reach the city center in just 25 minutes. The S1 takes you past ten stops to the center of Hamburg. Between 6 am and 11 pm the S1 runs every ten minutes, you never have to wait long for your connection. The route from the Hamburg airport to city center and back is included in the Hamburg City Pass in your chosen validity period.

The Harbor ferries take you across the Elbe and are included 

Use your ticket and travel as much as you like with the ferries through the harbor and across the Elbe. The port of Hamburg can be admired from the water and offers a completely new perspective. Get off, for example, at Hamburg's Elbe beach in Övelgönne.
