After a construction period of ten years, the Elbphilarmonie finally celebrated its grand opening in the beginning of 2017! Although it was not all that long ago that the construction works were completed, the concert hall already is part and parcel of Hamburg's skyline. With your included public transport ticket the Elbphilarmonie as well as other attractions nearby are easy to reach.
The Elbphilarmonie Hamburg is a very impressive building, located directly in the "harbor city". Admire the extraordinary architectural style of the concert hall from up close. You can visit the plaza, restaurant and hotel, as well as have a unique view of the harbor and the city.
On January, 11th 2017 the Elbphilarmonie celebrated the official opening with a magnificent concert. The concert hall is not only used as a venue for classical concerts but also for jazz representations. After a long time of waiting for the final opening, music lovers are able to enjoy a wide spectrum of music.

The plaza of the Elbe Philharmonic Hall is open to the public from 9am – 12am (last admission is granted at 11.30 pm). Get the FREE visitor tickets for the plaza directly on site. Either collect the tickets at the visitor center across the street or queue up on the left hand side of the entrance at the ticket counter. Do not let a long queue discourage you. It will move faster than expected!
Or visit the plaza at a specific time by purchasing online tickets on the Elbe Philarmonic Hall's website for 2€.
After receiving the ticket just hold the QR–Code given on the ticket underneath the scanner and pass through the turnstile.
To have a look at the room where the concerts take place there is a special "information box" next to the "Elbphilarmonie Pavillon". This information center is located on the "Magellan Terrassen" (Magellan deck). There you will also find a small replica of the Elbphilarmonie as well as information about the location, the architecture and the musical experience among others.
A special visitor center is also located across from the Elbe Philarmonic Hall, to receive further information as well as souvenirs.
