How does the London City Pass work?

  1. First select a pass type: STARTER; CLASSIC, or BEST.
  2. Choose how many people will be travelling with you.
  3. You can also optionally add the Oyster Card (a card that allows you to use London’s public transportation system) to your order. The London Oyster Card will already have money loaded onto it and will be ready to use when you arrive in London. The Oyster Card guarantees you unlimited use of the public transportation system, within the inner city limits of London (Zones 1-2). Just choose how much money you would like to be loaded onto your Oyster Card: £15, £20, £30, or £40.
Under “Public Transport” you will find information about how you can use the money loaded onto your Oyster Card.
Please note: The Oyster Card is currently not available for pickup but only by mail delivery. To use London’s public transportation system, each Oyster Card requires an activation fee of £5 but don't worry, this fee is already included in the final price of your order!
  4. You will receive the London City Pass via post or you can select "Pickup in London" during the booking process. The shipping time of your Pass is between 2-3 workdays for shipping within Germany, and for shipping to other countries, this time frame will be longer. Alternatively, can you choose the option "Pickup in London" and you will receive a pickup voucher via e-mail straight after confirmation of payment. With this voucher you will be able to pick up your London City Pass at the Gatwick Airport, Victoria Station or Waterloo Station (place open from Monday to Sunday between 6 am and 10 pm). For more information about the shipping times in your country and also additional information about express shipping options, see Shipping and Delivery. The Oyster Card is currently not available for pickup but only by mail delivery!

Usage & Validity

Vaildity: The London City Pass is available for children, teens and adults and it must be used within a year of its purchase date. Anytime during this 12-month period, the Pass is valid for 7 days, starting on any date of your choice (this date must be written into your Ticket Book). After you have written your desired starting date, the Pass will only be valid for the following consecutive 7 days after that date. This means that if your start date is May 1, then the Pass will only be valid from May 1 until May 7. During this time, you can visit any attraction, whenever you like and in whichever order you like.

Transferability: The Pass cannot be transferred to other people – it is only valid for the person whose name has been written on the front side of the Pass. Please read the information about the usage and validity of the Pass, which is mentioned separately in the documents that you will receive.

Opening hours: The London City Pass can be freely used at your discretion – simply show your pass at the respective attraction you would like to visit. Please note opening hours and perhaps also special terms of conditions of certain attractions. In order to make sure that the museum that you would like to visit is indeed open during your stay in London, we suggest checking the respective website of the museum for exact information.

Security checks: With the London City Pass, you will have preferred admission into many of the top attractions in London – just skip the waiting line and enjoy your visit! You can find more exact information about individual attractions and sights and also about their admission policies in your London City Pass. Please be aware that some attractions require security checks that cannot be avoided even with the possession of the Pass. Sometimes these security checks take longer due to official orders from the public authorities and all visitors must go through these checks. However, these are special cases and generally you save a lot time using the London City Pass compared to buying tickets at the ticket counter.

Cancellation: If your plans change and you no longer want to use your Pass – that’s no problem! Just cancel your order and send back your travel documents to us. You will receive a full refund (minus a €20 cancellation fee per Pass). Please be aware that refunds can only be granted if the Passes and its respective travel documents are not signed or damaged.
