The Geffrye Museum was founded in 1914 and specializes in the history of English interior design. It was named after Sir Robert Geffrye, once mayor of the city, and shows the changes in English interiors based on various replicas from 1600 until today. The focus is on furniture and pictures of the urban middle class. There are also seminars and changing exhibitions.
