The Shard is currently the tallest building in London and its construction was financed by Qatar. This skyscraper was inaugurated in 2013 and it stands at 310 meters tall. From July to October 2012, the Shard was considered the tallest building in the European Union. Visitors can enjoy a wonderful, 360-degreen view of London from the 69th and 72nd floor.

Once inside, you may stay as long as you wish until closing.Last entry is 1-hour prior to the advertised closing time. The bars in the venue close roughly 30-minutes before the advertised closing time.Please note that the View from the Shard is currently closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

The immediate entrance into The Shard is located on Joiner Street. You can either use either the London Bridge, the Tooley Street exit, or the St. Thomas Street exit after using either the Northern or Jubilee Line. You can also use bus lines 43, 48, 141, 149, or 521 and get off at London Bridge Station (over The Vaults).
The View from the Shard is closely located to the London Bridge, and it is also easy to quickly reach the Tower Bridge by using the public transportation system. The London city district of Southwark offers you a variety of wonderful parks and beautiful public areas—perfect for picnics and sports!
