The cathedral La Seu is the most famous building and landmark of Palma, which was first built by King Jaume II in 1300. Over time, many expansions were made to the main façade, as well as renovations to the inner rooms, and it was not until the 19th century that the cathedral obtained its current appearance. With its inner dimensions measuring to be 109 m long, 39 m wide, and 43 m tall,La Seu is one of the largest and most important Gothic cathedrals. Palma Cathedral offers the possibility of visiting its particularly impressive interior throughout the year. It is not called the "Cathedral of Light" for nothing. From Monday to Saturday, you can enjoy the breathtaking atmosphere from 10 am. From April to May and in October the opening hours of Palma Cathedral end at 17:15. From June to September, the Cathedral stays open one hour longer and does not close until 18:15. From November to March the opening hours end at 15:15. Throughout the year, you can visit Palma's breathtaking cathedral from Saturday morning until 2.15 pm. It should be noted that Palma Cathedral, where services are also held, is closed on Sundays and certain public holidays.
