The Palma Aquarium is located directly on the Playa de Palma and has become one of the most popular attractions on the island. This splendid park offers its visitors 55 aquariums and over 8000 sea animals to explore. A highlight of this aquarium is the second largest roof garden in Europe, which is created to look like a jungle. Besides the aquariums, this nature theme park also offers more thrilling attractions for both adults and children. The Palma Aquarium is open throughout the whole year. You have the possibility to explore the water environment from Monday to Friday from 10 am and make use of all the entertaining water activities. Start your day with a tour through the living environment underwater and extent your mind regarding the beauty of it. It is recommended to take 2 – 3 hours for a visit at the Palma Aquarium. Depending on how you time you occupy for a visit, you may have enough spare time to make use of all the great activities that are close by. The jungle-rooftop garden is the ideal spot to relax and take a break as well as a cafe and restaurant provide everything you need to make this experience unique. The Aquarium closes during the week at 3:30 pm until March. The entry is only possible until 2 pm, so the Aquarium can closes its doors in time. The aquarium offers extended opening hours during the weekend and on public holidays. It opens at 10 am and closes at 5:30 pm, so the last admission extends until 4 pm. Therefore, the opening hours during the weekends allow to make use of the beach and to take a break on the promenade even after the lunch break.

The Palma Aquarium is located next to the Playa de Palma approximately 500 meters far away from the beach. The close proximity to the ocean is the perfect location for an aquarium because it showcases the marine creatures and its marine ecosystem of the nearby ocean. The Palma Aquarium is situated slightly outside of the capital city next to the airport. However, the aquarium is easily accessible by car or bus and takes between 15 – 20 minutes.
