The Alpine Museum of the German Alpine Club is located on the Prater island in Munich and has been educating visitors about climbing summits and rock faces for over 100 years. In addition to the permanent exhibition “The History of Alpinism”, there are also alternating special exhibitions that highlight specific themes or artists. Get exciting insights into historical documents, equipment and stories in which mountaineers attempted to master the forces of the mountains.
