Visit the tower of the New Town Hall
The town hall tower at Marienplatz offers visitors a unique experience with breathtaking views of the Bavarian capital. In just a few seconds, a modern lift takes guests to a height of 85 metres, where an impressive 360-degree view of Munich opens up.
From the viewing platform, you can see the entire old town, including prominent landmarks such as the Frauenkirche, Alter Peter and the Theatinerkirche. On a clear day, the view extends all the way to the majestic Alps on the southern horizon.
Visitors can climb the tower all year round, with time slots available to book in advance. For those interested in history, the façade of the New Town Hall also offers a fascinating insight into Bavarian history, with numerous sculptures and decorations to discover.

Monday to Saturday: 10.00 am to 5.00 pm
Sunday and holidays: 11.30 am to 5.00 pm
Last ascent: 30 minutes before closing time.
Special closing days: On 20 November, 24 December from 2.00 pm, on 31 December from 4.00 pm, and on 1 January, the tower ascent will be closed.
