Public transport: the MetroCard

We suggest you to book a MetroCard directly to your order of the New York Sightseeing Pass. By doing so, you can avoid the stress of organizing transport around New York and start your trip stress-free. Simply select your desired type of MetroCard in the “Buy now” box, found on the right side of this webpage. The MetroCard comes in three variations: a $15 MetroCard (valid for 4 rides), $25 for 8 rides, and $35 for unlimited rides throughout New York for 7 days (also called the Unlimited Ride MetroCard). If you decided to pick the $15 or $25 MetroCard, you can reload money onto the card once the balance has been used up.
The activation fee of every MetroCard is already included in the final price of your booking!

With the Metro Card you will receive a New York city map as a PDF download. The city map shows all the major attractions and sights (note: not all of the attractions listed are included in the New York Sightseeing Pass).

  • Local buses 
  • MTA Staten Island Railway 
  • MTA Bus Company 
  • All PATH stations*
  • Airtrain
  • Westchester Bee Line Buses 
  • Roosevelt Island Tram 
  • NICE Bus (Nassau Inter-County Express)

Children (up to 112 cm tall) may ride public transport for free. Each adult may take up to 3 children for free.

*the use of PATH stations is not included in the Unlimited Ride MetroCard for 7 days.
