The National September 11 Memorial Museum is situated at the original location of the World Trade Center. The different exhibitions located in the museum addresses the time before, the day of as well as the consequences caused by the terror attack on September 11 in 2001. Explore “Before 9/11” addressing the bombing on February, 26 1993 as well as the danger of viewing the World Trade Center as a target, which existed even before 9/11. Get an insight on what must have been going on in the hijacked planes, the twin towers and the Pentagon, looking around the “Events of the day” exhibition. Get a glimpse of the repercussions of 9/11, which are visible even today and how the national security changed as a consequence of the attack. During these two acts of terrorism 2983 people lost their lives. In order to remember each one of the victims the “Memorial Exhibition” was created displaying portrait photographs of the victims. Using the touch-screens you will be able to learn more about each victim.
