Free travel on Paris public transport with the Paris City Pass 

With the Paris public transport ticket you can reach the attractions and museums included in the Paris City Pass quickly and easily. Validate your ticket simply and easily when you use public transport for the first time. Pass your public transport ticket through the marked ticket gates in the entrance areas of the metro stations or through the stamp machines in every bus and you can travel unlimited through the French metropolis during the validity period of your Paris City Pass.  

The following means of transport are free of charge for you in zones 1-3:

  • Metro 
  • Bus 
  • RER 
  • Cable car Montmartre 

The metro consists currently of 14 lines and runs mainly in zones 1-2. The Metro runs from Sunday to Thursday from 5:30 am – 0:15 pm and Friday and Saturday from 5:30 am to 2:15 pm.

The buses run until 0:30 AM every few minutes, then the night buses takes up the service. It is important to note that bus drivers only stop at signs!

With the Paris City Pass with public transport you can also use the Montmartre "Funiculaire de Montmartre" cable car to reach the world-famous hill. The operating hours are daily from 6 am to 0:45 pm.

Validity of the local public transport ticket: The public transport ticket must be validated before first use at a stamp machine or at a ticket gate. With the Paris City Pass you can travel unlimited during the validity period of the pass and discover the beautiful capital city stress-free and uncomplicated. 

Note Versailles Castle: Versailles Castle (Zone 4) is located outside the city centre and therefore in Zone 1-3. If you would like to go there, please buy an extra ticket at the last stop of Zone 3.
