The metro consists currently of 14 lines and runs mainly in zones 1-2.
The buses run until 0:30 AM every few minutes, then the night buses takes up the service. It is important to note that bus drivers only stop at signs!

Validity of the local public transport ticket: For your Paris Visite travel pass to be valid, you must write your first and last name on the travel pass, along with the starting and ending dates of validity. The travel pass is activated the first time you validate it. You must always validate your travel pass when you enter the metro, bus, tram or RER, and each time you pass a ticket gate or validation machine while travelling on the network. Note Versailles Castle: Versailles Castle (Zone 4) is located outside the city centre and therefore in Zone 1-3. If you would like to go there, please buy an extra ticket at the last stop of Zone 3.
