The baroque "Château de Maisons" was built in the 17th century on a hill overlooking the bend of the Seine in the French department of Yvelines. Since its construction, the exterior of the château has remained virtually unchanged and can be visited by visitors without restriction. Francois Mansart designed the typical French country chateau in 1640 and thus reached the peak of his glorious career. The harmonious, majestic and symmetrical forms alone make the "Château de Maisons" a masterpiece of contemporary architecture.
