Enjoy the free use of public transportation with the Paris City Pass. Use the metro. The Réseau Express Régional (RER), the different bus lines as well as the Montmartre funicular.

Here's how it works: Simply validate your metro ticket that comes with the Paris City Pass when you go use the public transportation system for the first time. In order to use the public transportation system, simply swipe your metro ticket into ticket machines that found at the entrance of metro stations or into designated ticketing machines in buses. With the Paris City Pass, you have the opportunity to use the public transportation system as often as you want (for as long as your City Pass is valid) to get around the French capital.

Fast, easy, and free!
With the Paris City Pass, you can use the public transportation system (metro, RER, bus, Montmartre tram) within the inner city district of Paris Zone 1 – 3 for free! The public transportation ticket is valid according to the purchased Paris City Pass (2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 days). No need to buy any other ticket!

Metro:
The metro public transport network is divided into 14 lines. Because of the different color of each line, they can be distinguished easily. But remember to check the name of the metro line! The lines are named after the name of the final stop.
Operating hours: Sun – Thu: 5.30am – 0.15am
                               Fri & Sat:   5.30am – 2.15am

Bus:
There are 353 bus lines in the city. To find one’s way around easier the lines always are marked with the name of the line and the line number. Please be aware that the buses will only stop if given a sign! Starting at 0.30 the 47 night bus lines “Noctilien” take over. To identify the night buses, they are noticeably marked with an “N”.

Montmartre funicular:
With the public transport ticket you will also have the opportunity to use the funicular traveling up the hill to see Sacré Coeur. Instead of climbing the 237 stairs you will arrive within 90 seconds.
