In the museum "la Cinémathéque francaise - Musée du Cinéma" is also called the "memory of cinema" in everyday language. It owes this name to its unique collection of everything connected with film and cinema. Henri Langlois and Georges Franju founded the museum in 1935.
Even before that, they spent their free time rescuing and preserving film copies. However, due to financial reasons, the work did not start until a year later. So more and more objects came in. Cameras, posters, books, projectors and also props. Today the museum restores over 200 films a year and shows up to 1300 copies in its own screening rooms. Sometimes works like Mrs. Bates's head from Hitchcock's Psycho or the wheels from Chaplin's Modern Times can be admired.
