Musée Condé – Château de Chantilly

Imagine: A 1,000 acre estate. In the middle of it, the Château de Chantilly. A place of idyll - surrounded by well-tended parks, waterfalls, fountains, fountains, flowerbeds, gardens in English and Chinese style and numerous statues and sculptures, the castle invites you to stay and relax in a romantic atmosphere. The "Musée Condé" is located in the middle of this wonderful place. A museum with a collection that is only surpassed in size by the famous Louvre. More than 1.000 paintings, 2.500 drawings, 2.500 engravings, 30.000 books, 12.000 old prints and more than 1.500 manuscripts fill the corridors and rooms of the enchanted castle.
The exhibition has remained largely unchanged since 1898, with 4 special exhibitions a year rounding off the entire inventory. There, works are exhibited which, for conservation reasons, would otherwise not be revealed to the public.
