Once a convent in the Cistercian order south of Versailles, the historic building now houses a national museum. In the 17th century, under the direction of Abbess Angélique Arnauld, it was considered an important stronghold of Jansenist ideas.
Besides a park of about 35 hectares, it is also possible to visit a large collection of paintings, books, rock engravings, monasteries, ruins and buildings from the 15th and 19th centuries. Pay special attention to the lovingly designed interior gardens between the historic buildings - deep relaxation and peace spreads here!
