The Rome City Pass is your Rome Travel Pass for the top attractions and museums of the Italian capital. Visit the Palatin, the legendary founding site of Rome, or the Roman Forum (if booked and available with Colossseum), which at the time of antiquity was the center of the social life of the Romans. You can also enjoy free admission into the Colosseum (if available and booked), today's landmark of Rome. The ruins of the (almost) 2000-year-old amphitheater are one of the most famous attractions in Rome and are definitely a "Must-See" when in Rome. Another "Must-See" during your Rome sightseeing is a visit to the Vatican with the St. Peter's Basilica. The St. Peter's Basilica is one of the most popular attractions in Rome and forms the centre of the Vatican Rome. The admission to St. Peter's Basilica is generally free of charge. To visit the dome of St. Peter's Basilica, an entrance fee is required, which is not included in the pass. Entrance to the Vatican is included in the Rome City Pass, unlike other Roma Passes. The Vatican is the seat of the Pope and the heart of the Catholic Church. The Vatican is also the smallest recognized state in the world, with around 1.000 inhabitants in an area of less than half a square kilometer. Enter the Vatican through the special entrance past the waiting line and stroll into the Vatican picture gallery and into all other museums in the Vatican. There, one of the largest museum building complex in the world, are many famous works of art from several thousand years of history. Admire the masterworks of Michelangelo in the Sistine Chapel. Visit the Stadium Domitian in Piazza Navona and admire the archaeological site that's opened to the public in Piazza Navona only since 2014. Unlike the Roma Pass, the Rome City Pass offers you free and partly preferential entry to these mentioned top sights of Rome. Don't let yourself miss this chance to see these top attractions in Rome.
Booking and delivery: The Rome City Pass can be used for the number of days that you chose during the booking process. 1 day = 1 calendar day, beginning at 0:00 in the morning to 24:00 at night. The Rome City Pass is available via online booking and comes with info in English or German language. Please book early because the visitor capacity in Rome is limited. You will receive your pass and, if desired, the airport transfer by e-mail.

This helps to receive future emails from Turbopass. If you still do not receive an email from us, please contact our customer service.
Attention early bookers! Reservations are possible six weeks before the desired date. That means that you will receive your documents at the latest 1 day before the date of your journey. Short term bookers: please allow us a time of 24 hours to proceed your booking.
Vatican: For your preferred entry to the Vatican please choose a date in the appropriate field when ordering. You will receive a inlet time between 9 am and 16 pm for this day. You also have the option of booking the preferred entry plus a 2 hour-guided tour in English, or not booking the Vatican, if for example, your desired date is not available. If you deselect the entry to the Vatican you will save 21 € for adults/– 12 € for teenager/child.Please observe the dress code for visiting the Vatican and wear clothing that covers your knees and shoulders, otherwise the access can be denied. Please note that you may be subject to delays in security checks at the Vatican. These checks cannot be bypassed with "Preferential Admission". You may be approached by allegedly "helpful" vendors in front of the Vatican, who wish to sell you more overpriced tickets. Don't go into it, with your pass you already have free and reserved access and can go directly to the entrance. You can find more information about the Vatican here.
Colosseum (with Roman Forum and Palatine Hills): The Colosseum is limited available as the capacity has been limited. For your reserved and free access please choose a date during your booking. You will receive a reserved inlet time for this day between 8:35 am and 17:45 pm according to availability (unfortunately, time requests can only rarely be considered and guaranteed, because the capacity of the Colosseum is severely limited). If you would like to select a time yourself for Colosseum (including Forum Romanum and Palatine), you can check availability and reserve a ticket yourself here on this link: https://bit.ly/2I90no7. If you find your desired date there, we recommend that you reserve it quickly. For your City Pass simply choose in course of your booking "Without Colosseum" and your price will be reduced. If you deselect the entrance to the Colosseum, you will save 13,60 € for adults (no entrance fee will be charged for teen/child). More information about the Colosseum can be found here.Even though the availability of the Colosseum is indicated, in some cases you may not receive a Colosseum Ticket from us due to overbooking. We recommend that you check availability here on the official website of the colosseum and purchase your admission and reservation immediately. You also may find remaining tickets there if your desired date and time is no longer available on our site.Due to security checks you should be at the Colosseum 30 minutes before your allocated time slot for your preferred admission. Walk past the checkout line directly to the entrance. The Colosseum is generally open for public free of charge on the 1st Sunday of the month - please note that there may therefore be a greater number of visitors on this day and that there is no preferential admission on this day. Your ticket is valid for the Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine. You can visit the Roman Forum and Palatine on the same day (e.g. before the Colosseum) or on the day after the Colosseum, regardless of the reserved time from the Colosseum.
Tickets for children (under the age of 18) are not tied to a time, only to the printed date. This means that a child can enter the Colosseum at any time on the that particular date.
Arrival and departure times: If you like to visit the Vatican and/ or Colosseum on your arrival or departure day, please let us know the time of arrival and departure by writing into the note field when booking. This ensures that the time of your reserved entry fits to your arrival or departure time.
Hop-on Hop-off City Tour: Your Rome City Pass includes the 48h ticket on the Hop-on Hop-off Bus through Rome with free audio commentary in German, French, Spanish, English and many other languages. The ticket is valid for 48h several times.
Validity: The Rome City Pass is valid for one, two, three, four, five or seven consecutive days, beginning with the first insertion of the pass. The validity cannot be extended. Also not if the validity period coincidentally includes the rest day of a museum. Upon presentation of your pass, you will receive free access to the sights and museums included in the Rome City Pass. The services included in the Rome City Pass can be used/visited once in any order during the validity period of your City Pass.
Airport transfer: Your airport transfer ticket includes a trip from Fiumicino airport or Ciampino airport to the city centre and a trip back to the airport. You can use the airport transfer on flexible days, the validity is not tied to the days of the pass. More information here.
Children and teens: Children and teens under the age of 18 sometimes need a proof of age (passport or identity card) in order to get free entry to certain attractions. Children and teens do not pay admission to the Colosseum and the Colosseum does not offer reservations for them. Free entry to the Colosseum requires a free ticket for children under 18 years of age, which is only available on site. You will find further information on obtaining a free ticket in the attachment content of your pass under "Colosseum".
Opening hours: Some museums and sights may be closed for renovation or for a short period on certain days. Many Italian museums are closed on Mondays (except for the Vatican, the Colosseum and the Tour) and on 25 December, 1 January and 1 May. The Vatican Museums are closed on Sundays and some church holidays. The St. Peter's Basilica is closed wednesdays from 8 am to 12 pm and on 24 December and 31 December.
Rome City Pass App: Please note that your entrance tickets, i.e. Rome City Pass, Vatican ticket (if booked), Colosseum ticket (if booked), local transport ticket (if booked) and airport transfer (if booked) are not stored in the app.
That's good to know: Rome can get full during the peak travel seasons. Please be prepared for many visitors who would like to visit the main attractions with you. Security checks are mandatory for everyone and there may be waiting times. The capacity at the Colosseum has been limited to 3000 visitors, which may mean that you have to wait despite making a reservation. We recommend visiting the many other great museums and attractions besides the Colosseum or the Vatican that may be less in focus. In your Rome City Pass you have many other exciting contents for an interesting visit to Rome.
With the Rome City Pass you get a package that makes your trip and preparation easier. You save money, time and stress compared to individual purchases and organisation.Further information about the City Pass can be found under Questions and Help.
We hope you enjoy your visit to Rome!
