Museo Pio Cristiano at the Vatican

The Museo Pio Cristiano houses a collection of Early Christian work. Pope Pius IX founded the Museo Pio Cristiano in 1854. In the Museo Pio Cristiano, you can find the oldest Christian exhibition pieces in the world. Some of the pieces can be dated back to 150 AC. Things to see in the Museo Pio Cristiano (amongst many other things) include sarcophagi in the catacombs, scripts, statues, and other artifacts from the 5th century. One thing that is especially worth mentioning about the Museo Pio Cristiano is its “Good Shepherd” statue, which is dated to be from the 3rd century AC and is considered to be the oldest statue portrayal of Christ.
