Beaches without admission fee: Legrena -Sounio-, Limanakia and more

Who also connects Greece with white sandy beach and turquoise blue sea should make a short trip from Athens to the coast. There are some free beaches, all worth a visit.

Relax from sightseeing and escape the heat of Athens. Jump into the cool blue of one of the nearby free beaches.
The Kavouri Peninsula is just 17km away and offers a gorgeous sandy beach. Cafes and taverns are located nearby.
Visitors are also attracted by the small bays called "Limanakia". They are located behind Lake Vouliagmenis, about 21 km from Athens city centre. White rocks and an excellent view of the Saronic Sea await you.
The beach Legrena is certainly worth its longer journey of 63 km, it is located directly at the Cape Sounio. Here you bathe under the famous Poseidon temple in azure blue water, especially at sunset this is a unique highlight in your holiday in Athens.
