We got the Complete package for the Venice Pass. It included many of the churches, which did not charge in the first place. The gondola ride was at a specific time and we were never able to make that time. Gondola rides from that location were like sitting in gondola rush-hour traffic anyway. The museums included weren't really included. One of them even saw the pass and informed us that they'd never seen the pass before and made us pay to get in. They said the tickets had to be purchased at the Ducale? What? We were no where close.
Getting tickets for some of the sights was very confusing. Overall, I'm glad we purchased. I'm not sure if we saved much money, but the convenience and skip the line was nice once we figured out what we needed to do for each site. My advice is to arrive early so you can find out where to get your tickets. Read the instructions for each site very carefully. They all have specific hours and times you can use the pass.
The information about the passports received via email that you prefer to be admitted to St. Mark's Basilica is wrong. Anyway, it did not work for us and we tried it on all entrances. We were referred to the "normal" snake.
The Venice city pass was good. We had an islands tour and a Grand Canal tour. According to the website when we were buying the tickets it was supposed to include more than what we were able to experience. Luckily we only had one day there and so we went on the two tours that day that took up most of our day. The other downside is that this is not a known service there. That meant that asking for directions to meeting points was not easy.
I start with the service. Unclear e-mails how to use the passport or what should check beforehand (name eg). The answers came quickly in the beginning, but then I had to ask 2 times until the answer came I had asked: No matter what passport ... It's about that we had booked 3 passes together and was not clear which name belongs to whom. In the mail stood: check your name. This is not possible. Which turned out to be. We did not travel together. the tickets for the means of transport came out all 3 together at the machine although you only needed 2 and I the 3 later. Very unfavorable! I can not recommend booking passes together unless you travel back and forth together! If you are good on foot you need no tickets for transport. I would always look where you live and what you can see exactly where. You can stroll through the streets without using a vaporetto. But if you are traveling a lot and in the evening far back then worth the drive back with a water taxi. I can not say that we took advantage of the 3 day ticket. Buying individual tickets several times a day would be more expensive than the 10 € day ticket ... Well, my recommendation is superior. Bus transfer is only useful for those who rather have a central accommodation. Because of the bus station you have to take a vaporetto or walk again. It is useful to look first if not from the airport the water taxi makes sense closer to the accommodation. That was the case with us, for example. Gondola lift was great class. pretty much a check-in, but our gondoleur was great and we were almost alone on the road ... Can recommend the first ride in the morning to take, otherwise you stand in line ... service on site was great. Everything went fast, it was used exactly where it started. We recommend. But if you are 4 people and more you should do it privately because the gondola east costs 80 € everywhere and that goes through 4, 5, 6 for example. Many churches can be seen, even those who are particularly interested. The tour at Le Fenice we could have saved us. The lady was not understood at all, only in English, no translation, no hint that also offers the Fenice audioguides ... The opera is beautiful for it has been successful, but not because of the tour. My conclusion. For us, the passes were not worth it. We paid 155 € for three days and that's just not enough time to use everything this pass offers, which is actually designed for 7 days. (3 days of which were transport for 30 €) Believe well before thinking about what you want to do and see exactly.
Basically ok, but not necessary. Price wise no big differences to normal tickets. Waiting time reduction uninteresting. Have not waited so long. Absolutely necessary and good is the Vaporetto multi-day ticket.
Good gondola and island tour. But you could purchase them separately and save money that way. I was not as happy with Doge's Palace and other places - than I was with places like Rome and Florence. I would prefer getting lost in Venice instead. For what it was, I still had a good time - so take this review for what it is worth.
The city pass was not worth it for me because many sights are still payable and the airport transfer to my airport was not offered ... Since the turbo pass for Rome was rather good.
The redemption was complicated.
At first glance, such a passport seems practical - but it's not nearly as straightforward as stated. We did not have to queue in the Doge's Palace anyway - but we had to exchange our print-out for a ticket at a second counter, which took a while. We did not want to get involved in the theater "La Fenice" because we were supposedly missing a special paper that we had not been told. Fortunately, the nice lady left us without any red tape without the said paper. Incidentally, we had to hire ourselves at all counters and did not get to our turn any faster. In contrast, the island tour and the ride on the Canale Grande went without a hitch. My conclusion: For people who, like us, only want to spend three days in Venice, this passport means stress, because one wants to "work off" the money; To many churches, which demand anyway only a low admission price, we did not arrive at all and there was only little time to stroll. Financially, it was not worth it; For us, the whole thing was just like that. Maybe this pass is recommended for people who want to stay in the city for more than three days.
Basically a good idea, which has also worked largely well. Two things, however, have caused great annoyance: 1.) We have discovered the pass at very short notice and only booked the evening before departure. But since you could easily select the following day as the start of validity, we found nothing there. After paying (!) We received the note, however, that the receipt of the voucher 24 hours (!) Can claim. Since the next day the hotline for an hour (allegedly because of a technical infirmity) was not available, we had to finally go without a printed voucher in the plane. 2.) The gondolier in Venice refused to redeem the voucher for the gondola ride.
I was in Venice for 4 nights, 5 days, and would never buy the pass again. It is too much trouble to get to the locations where one should collect the tickets before you can use the pass. We queued very long at the meeting points, only to learn you should go to another location (different locations for the different tours) to first get the physical ticket. We found the staff at the meeting points unfriendly and uninterested. The tours were, at the most, BORING, with very poor sound quality. The Borano/Murano tour was a waste of time. Had we gone on our own, we would have had much more fun. It was a rush from the one location to the next, with very little time on the islands, simply not enough to make the experience count. The exception was the tour of the Teatro Fenico. The tour guide was excellent.
Church pass could not be redeemed because the church was either closed all day or opened too late. That was annoying. The indicated times for the various offers were not right. Muses pass ok, Vaporetto card too. I would not buy anymore, but spontaneously decide on the spot. I do not want a coupon and no offers otherwise.

I did not like the fact that we first had to go to the Doge's Palace to solve the museum ticket, as it was announced to get in without a queue. There were churches indicated where the entry was free anyway. Positive was the entry into the Marcusdom, and also the Aitportexpress.
We bought the Venice City Pass Classic because we thought it worthwhile. The Teatro la Fenice was closed as a result of a small fire (20 EUR), the Jewish Museum (12 EUR) was closed on two days, the gondola ride is unattractive, because with six people in a gondola is penned and a relatively boring route was driven and the Murano - Burano - Torcello tour should be better with the public transport (Vaparettos), because the stay in Murano and Burano were so short that you could not really explore the islands or enjoy.
Die ausgewählten Museen sind teilweise uninteressant, z. B. Leonardo da Vinci. Die angegebenen Zeiten für die Bootsfahrt auf Canal Grande stimmten nicht. Das Ticket für die Vaporetti hätte man auch in Venedig zum selben Preis kaufen können. Nun endlich zu den positiven Punkten: mit dem city pass spart man sich das Warten in der langen Schlange für Markus Dom und Dogenpalast.
The transaction of the purchase went very fast and without problems. However, when I first used the turbo pass in Venice, I was warned that my code was not working. This was especially annoying as I was traveling with a group and only 2 out of 4 turbo pumps were working. After the first shock, we contacted the provider over the phone & were informed for the first time that these two passports were canceled due to a technical error (each had 2 different codes on the printouts). By telephone we were informed that we will again receive a mail with validated passports. After this bumpy start with the Turbopass we were able to use the offers after all.
We visited Venice for 3 days and booked the Tubopass. The purpose was to avoid waiting times and enjoy all the sights in a relaxed way. The opposite was the case. You walk through Venice and look for the starting points, where the voucher must be exchanged for valid tickets. This is very time consuming and extremely annoying. There are enough ticket counters and no long lines, you can buy tickets relaxed on the spot. The gondola ride was a mass transit and not worth your money. 15 gondolas in a row, each with 6 people occupied in the jam of the canals. All gondolas ride the same round, ridiculous and no experience. Better pay more and negotiate the price and the route with the gondola driver. The guided boat trip to the islands of Murano and Burano was not worth seeing and everything was completely overcrowded. The ship only operates at certain times and you hardly have time to look at it, very tight schedule. The islands are also approached by public boat traffic, which is much better and more relaxed. Highly recommended is the transfer from and to the airport and a public transport ticket for the public transport for all days of stay in Venice to book. There is the price-performance ratio and it saves time and money. Pay a little more and enjoy Venice as relaxed as you want
Turbopass is not one inclusive pass that you present or swipe to use local transport vaperettos get into museums or take the grand canal tour. It is a lot of paper with barcodes a lot of detail that you need to retain in order to have any clue how to go about redeeming your value from the costly price paid. It turned out to be useless to us except for St Marks Museum and a total waste of the $300+ CAD spent on it.
