The Chiesa di San Giacomo is one of the oldest churches in Venice and is also one of the most interesting churches. Located outside of the normal touristy areas, this church is an exciting sight to see due to its many modifications and renovations. Its colorful mix of various architectural styles makes the Chiesa di San Giacomo simply a one of a kind sight to see. The church also houses many beautiful art works, such as Lorenzo Lotto’s alter painting, “The Virgin Mary and Child with Apostles and Saints,” which is one of its few preserved works.
