Founded in 837 by the duke, the Chiesa di San Polo is located on the second largest plaza of Venice, Campo San Polo. However, not much of the original church structure can be seen today. The façade’s combination of Byzantine, Gothic, and Neoclassical architecture creates an exciting scene to see for all art fans. Additionally, picture cycles of the stations of the cross of Gian Domenico Tiepolo can also be viewed inside the church, as well as works by Tintoretto, Vittoria, and Veronese.
