Located away from the usual tourist paths, in a quieter neighborhood of Venice, a gem can be found—the Chiesa di Sant’ Alvise. Because the exterior of the church is somewhat plain, the interior can surprise many. Here you can find not only unique paintings, but also a complete ceiling fresco created by Pietro Antonio Torri and Pietro Ricchi. The church is also home to an elevated choir that is supported by columns and is decorated with latticework.
