The Chiesa di Santa Maria del Giglio was built in 1681 and has also been given the name, “Santa Maria Zobenigo.” The façade of the church is built in the typical Venetian Baroque style and is a memorial to the Barbaro family. Instead of figures from Christian biblical stories, the façade is decorated with portraits of the Barbaro family, as well as city plans and maps that Antonio Barbaro used. Paintings by famous artists like Tintoretto, Rubens, and Alessandro Vittoria can also be found here.
