The Santa Maria del Rosario Church (usually called, “Gesuati”) is a Dominican church. This church is the predecessor of the Santa Maria della Visitazione Church, because it was declared to be too small. Through donations, the construction and interior designing of this new church was financed, of which includes the construction of a giant column façade. The interior of the church has three vaulted frescoes that were drawn with motifs about the Dominican congregation by Giambattista Tiepolo. A highlight of this church is its alter painting by Tintoretto, which depicts the crucifixion of Jesus.

From Monday to Saturday, the church can be visited from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm. Last admission is at 4:15 pm. Be aware that the Chiesa di Santa Maria del Rosario is closed on Sundays, as well as on December 25, January 1, East, and on August 15.

Admission into the Chiesa di Santa Maria del Rosario costs 3 Euros for adults, and children up to 11 years old are admitted for free.

When visiting the Chiesa di Santa Maria del Rosario, clothing that covers the shoulders and knees must be worn. Sleeveless tops, shorts, mini skirts, as well as hats are not allowed in the church.
Located right next to the Chiesa di Santa Maria del Rosario is the Chiesa di Santa Maria della Visitazione. The Sant Agnese and the Palazzo Clary are also located very close by the church. The Chiesa di Santa Maria del Rosario is also located directly at the Guidecca canal.
