Experience police work and the most spectacular criminal cases in Hamburg
With the help of crime weapons, tools and original audio and film recordings, experience how criminals proceeded and how detectives investigated. Exhibits from the past and present provide answers as to how and why the self-image and tasks of the police have changed over the course of two centuries. Visitors to the Police Museum can also become investigators; they can try out forensic methods at interactive laboratory tables and create sketches on the computer. There is also plenty for children and young people to discover: whether it’s a search game, rally or investigator game – here visitors of all ages can experience the work of the police at first hand.
Up close with virtual reality and professional experience
Immerse yourself in virtual reality: take a virtual tour of Hamburg city centre in a real patrol car with flashing blue lights and sirens. Or would you prefer to fly virtually over the rooftops of the Hanseatic city in a police helicopter? The Police Museum is an experience for the whole family. A unique feature of the Police Museum: volunteer police officers with many years of professional experience are on hand to assist visitors and guide them through the exhibitions.
