Deutsches Jagd- und Fischereimuseum (Hunting and Fishing Museum)

The German Hunting and Fishing Museum is a unique cultural institution in the heart of Munich's pedestrian zone. The museum is housed in the former Augustinerkirche, one of Munich's oldest stone churches, and has been presenting the rich history and culture of hunting and fishing since 1966.

The museum extends over three levels and covers an exhibition area of around 3,000 square metres. It offers a comprehensive insight into the sustainable use of nature through hunting and fishing, as well as wildlife biology, environmental protection and ecology. The museum's collection includes around 1,000 stuffed animals, hunting weapons, fishing equipment, paintings, drawings and glassware with hunting and animal motifs.
