Tour of the Munich Christmas markets – Radius Tours

Many of the world’s favourite seasonal traditions originated in Germany, such as the Christmas tree and the Advent calendar. For Germans, however, there is nothing quite like the unique atmosphere of an authentic old Christmas market in a traditional setting. Christmas markets have been held in Munich for 600 years, and every year the medieval city centre is transformed into a winter wonderland. The streets are full of charming stalls selling all kinds of classic decorations and gifts in a cheerful atmosphere filled with the scent of roasted nuts and hot mulled wine.
