The Famous Stained Glass of York Minster
The absolute highlight is the Great East Window, which is the size of a tennis court and represents the largest single expanse of medieval stained glass in the world. It tells the story of the beginning and end of the world. No less impressive is the Five Sisters Window in the North Transept, whose five slender lancet windows are intricately designed with over 100,000 individual pieces of glass.
