Discover the exciting history of Grünwald Castle
This former hunting lodge of the Wittelsbach family not only showcases the extensive history of Grünwald Castle itself. Other medieval castle buildings from all over Bavaria are also presented, giving you a wonderful insight into life in this exciting time.
From the tower of the castle, you have a beautiful view over the Isar valley and the town of Grünwald. In the permanent exhibition, there is a large model of the castle, finds of various objects, and original wall paintings. Grünwald Castle, a listed building, is one of only two medieval castle complexes in the Munich region to have been preserved.
