With your ticket for the Pinakothek der Moderne you can visit four museums: the Modern Art Collection, the New Collection - The Design Museum, the Architecture Museum and the State Graphic Arts Collection. These are four separate museums, all located under the roof of the Pinakothek der Moderne. Thus, you can enjoy a very comprehensive collection of the arts from the 20th and 21st centuries over an area of around 12,000 square meters.
The Pinakothek der Moderne was opened in 2002. Its architect, Stefan Braunfels, created a spacious building with a 25-meter high glass dome - the rotunda—which invites visitors to form relationships and gain new, surprising insights.
