As the third largest spice trading centre in the world, Hamburg is the ideal location for a spice museum. What’s more, the Hamburg Spice Museum is located in the centre of the historic Speicherstadt warehouse district, the largest contiguous warehouse complex in the world. Explore this special museum, because it not only shows you the old forms of trade and preparation, but also the entire spice processing process from cultivation to the finished product. Over 900 exhibits from the last five centuries tell the story of spices. Of course, you can touch and, above all, smell all the spices.
