We were very happy with our classic passes. The bus tour was a great break in between walking around other attractions.
My husband and I aren’t history buffs, but we wanted to experience Athens with no frills attached and without dilly-dallying for days. The mini pass was perfect for us, which showed us the perfect amount of attractions and museums for a reasonable price.
The Athens Pass was a great value for our family. Even though we arrived for the day on a cruise and the pass was for two days, the pass was convenient and we got a lot of use out of it. We were able to go to the acropolis and acropolis museum. We also used the pass for the hop on hop off tour which picked us up and dropped us off at the cruise ship terminal.
Total Value for Money. I would highly recommend.
We had an amazing time in Athens. Especially worth visiting are the little alleys.
Have a view of the Acropolis on sunset! You feel like in ancient times!
The pack was ready as advertised at the airport collection point and contained everything we needed for a four day stay in Athens, a very convenient and simply way to pack a lot in.
Finally Athens has its very own attraction card ! Visit the Acropolis and the city's landmarks stress free. Furthermore you receive plenty of discounts in museums, stores and many more.
I saw almost all the sights and museums I wanted to see. The public transport ticket, the 48-hour hop-on hop-off bus, and the day trip to Hydra, Poros, and Aegina—everything was great! Everything worked out well, I'm satisfied.
We spent five days in Athens and booked the City Pass for four days, which we used extensively. The absolute highlight was, of course, the Acropolis, but the included bus rides were also a pleasant surprise. We recommend using all three bus lines – you get to see an incredible amount and get a lot of interesting information thanks to the digital audio guide. The Acropolis Museum is quite nice, but didn't leave a particularly good impression on us due to the very unfriendly staff. The other museums included in the pass are rather small and didn't really impress us – but that's a matter of taste, of course. All in all, we don't regret buying the ticket at all.
All in all very happy with the pass.
The hop on hop off bus is recommended. Ideal for cruising through the city. The metro ticket is also a good addition. Visited almost all museums on the map. The app works well and the pass is known to the participating museums so you can quickly get in.
Museum tickets, including acropolis worth it. There is no such thing as skip the line. For acropolis you need to make a line for the tickets showing the reservation. Also for the acropolis museum.
The 2 days of hop in hop off bus are very helpful, just there is a lack of instructions or information on how and when to activate it.
Some of the options included in the pass (discounts and offers) didn't particularly interest us. For the attractions, access to the Ancient Agora and the Panthenaic Stadium is missing, to make the offer complete. Access to public transport is great, even if you have to go to the center to pick up the tickets. Over the 3 days, we were able to visit the Acropolis and its museum, and the Herakleidon Museum. We were also able to enjoy a Big Bus tour, which was a pleasant way to discover the city with explanations in French. Using the pass is quite simple. We simply encountered a bug when booking the Big Bus; but after contacting the service, the problem was resolved within the hour.
I bought the public transport add on - brilliant value - but you have to find the office issuing tickets , which is in an odd side street which looks a bit grim . Once there thought the process is easy !
We made the most of the hop on/off bus.
The Acropolis ticket doesn’t mean you don’t have to queue and don’t bother getting there early as you have to stick to your chosen time.
Goof pass for Athens. However, need to claim all the official ticket. The code given can't be use straight away.
The metro ticket office is closed in the weekend, so I can't claim my ticket at all!
Since the museums were included in the price, depending on how you book, it's fine. Check if the route to the airport is included; that's important. Use the pass; you don't need a taxi; you can get everywhere by metro, tram, and bus.
