The Turbopass Barcelona in turn offers many possibilities. Unfortunately, not so strong compared to other cities. Especially the Hopp On Hopp Off Bus lags behind, as many attractions can not be approached directly.
Basically good, but definitely read the details! Barcelona Card, Barcelona City Pass, there are many different names and passports. We bought the Barcelona Card for 3 days = 110.- Euro / person mainly because we thought we could use the Barcelona Bus Turistic for a full 3 days. This was a painful mistake, we were only allowed to use this City Sightseeing Bus for 1 day. Is also a bit ambiguous in the description. Otherwise good, including entrance to the Sagrada Familia Familia without waiting time, including harbor tour, including use of public transport and especially for lovers of museums (which we could not use due to lack of time) free admission to many museums and attractions. So before necessarily read exactly what you want to use concretely and then buy the appropriate passport. In case of doubt - even if it is more expensive, but possibly targeted individual bookings in advance, may save money. In view of the limited time (3 days stay) we had opted for a (expensive?) Overall package (eg use of public transport without constantly having to check single trips), which we finally could use extensively and the total price probably "used up" to have.
Great city and make the round trip on top of the Montjuic and visit the Palau Guell on the Ramblas. The hop on hop off bus great ... definitely a full day for planning. I did not feel the Turbo Pass Barcelona as well as the one for London. You either have to use the Barcelona Card or the expression of the turbo pass and thus there are sometimes different discounts .... a bit confusing. In addition, it is a shame if in the Sagrada Familia as basics as an audio guide is not there and must be borrowed separately. The discount with the BarcelonaCard is sometimes different than described only on certain tickets eg Hin u. Return to the Montjuic but not on the single ride.
The idea is good. But you have to know that the price scale after days refers to the use of public transport, which is rarely needed in Barcelona, as you better explore the city on foot. We were there on our first visit 7 days and have the public max. Used 5 times. For € 50 more is out of proportion. For the return to the airport our "passport" was no longer valid and we had to take the bus. The inclusive attractions offered in the turbo pass (Sagrada Familia, Picasso Museum etc.) are already available for a 2-day booking for 79.90. In addition, the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya (F1 track) is 2 hours by train away and therefore only interesting for real fans. The incl. Harbor tour costs regularly 7.50 and is nice, the Colon de Mirrador you do not have.
Some attractions have discounts but you should first inform yourself exactly what is actually included in the pass. The good thing is that the trip to the airport is included. But if the ticket was really worth 100% depends on the personal needs and also how long the stay is and whether, one or two days completely spent on the beach, this is depending on the location of the accommodation within walking distance easy to reach and you would need no public transport. Any bus company is also not included in the ticket / passport. An advantage for example is that if eg. For the 1 May the ticket is booked, which counts then the hours only from the first devaluation If one arrives for example late in the evening then counts also only from there and not at 8.00 o'clock in the morning if one still has no use of it.
Insgesamt ist der Barcelona City Pass eine gute Sache, doch leider kommt er incl. Fahrkarte für den Nahverkehr in 3 physischen Abschnitten. Jeder muß prüfen, ob sich der Pass wirklich lohnt. Es sind sehr viele Museumsvergünstigungen enthalten, und manche Ermäßigungen sind recht gering.
We were very pleased with the passport when it came to public transport, and the Hop on Hop off bus was great too. Unfortunately, the offer of entries was a bit small. We were used to London and Dublin better perks in really interesting sights.
Positive when visiting the Sagrada, bus and metro rides.
Loved the unlimited rides on public transportation. But it limited getting into a lot of the attractions & was not informative of the need to book prior to going anywhere. Hop on/hop off was great too!
Most of the places that the pass gives free access are not very interesting. Free public transport card is just great and is a must have! Hop on and off bus is nice too. The discount that the pass gives is nice too.
So many offers are not created at all, much can be reached quickly without the advantage of the fast access.
Barcelona City Pass
Barcelona is very large and beautiful. Gaudi Haus Museum is rather disappointing. The best was the film about the life of Gaudi. It is a pity that the tickets for the Sagrada Familia did not have any choice for entrance + access to the Sagrada Familia's towering chairs.
Basically, for my visit, the CityPass was not worth it, as it is hardly possible during this time (in 5 days) to exhaust all the possibilities offered by the CityPass. Therefore I would not take the Citypass again for a Kurztripp. This is too expensive, even if the entrance to the Sagrada Familia, the public transport and a hop-on-hop-off-tour are included.
The really exciting sights are not included such as Casa Batllo, La Pedrera, Teleferico, Exposicion Gaudis in Parque Güell. Since you have to pay extra entrance. The Barcelona map is, in my opinion, mainly for museum lovers. But Barcelona still offers soooo much more.
Overall, it was okay to have bought this card, but if you buy everything separately, it ends up costing as much. In principle, it is the \"normal\" BCN card with all the trimmings, the Hop On Hop Off ticket for a day, a BASIC admission to the Sagrada Familia and Gaudi entry to the house in the Guell Park! Attention: ONLY the house. In the Guell Park one may in vain, BUT not in the part that really why you go there, say the stairs with the snake, the mosaics, the platform and so on - that costs extra and there may only be a total of 600 people a day in. The former home of Gaudi's interesting, but a \"Nice-To-Have\" - if you were buildings in the Museum of Modernism and the other Gaudi, one has seen that. All other Gaudi houses are NOT included. In addition, we were disappointed that was the card for Sagrada Familia only Basic, so no towers and no other extras.
Some things the passport does not help and you have to still pay admission anyway. I'm not sure if it was really worth it to me. The true positive was that buses and trains and the sightseeing bus was free.
The pass is too expensive. 2 points were annoying: The Park Güell is no longer there, although I have read the map comparison on the Internet. You also get the hop on and hop off sightseeing bus only in one day. Since you can not make the proposed 3 trips to 2 hours at all.
I'm not really satisfied. Even when picking up the passport, there were irritations, as it was not clear enough that the City Pass is just an addition to the B-Card. I counted on a separate, designated as such city pass. Since I was in Barcelona for 7 days, I could not use the free arrivals / departures, because I took the card reasonably for the 5 core days in operation. Public transport would have been cheaper with tens of cards. The Hop on - Hop off bus tour is not worth the money. Many things could be better explored on foot anyway, and others could also be targeted by subway. I have not encountered long lines of sightseeing (exception: Sagrada Familia), the Skip-the Line option was superfluous.
We have never been to Barcelona. Therefore, we were happy when we bought the City Pass. Arriving at the airport we were overwhelmed with brochures and paper in the tourist office. We could not use most of it. Then we started the transfer to the city Plaza Barcelona. But at the airport you can only with the normal public transport with the pass in the city. We wanted the express bus, which drives directly. Unfortunately the passport was not valid and we paid 5.60 Euro per person. It was good that we could immediately queuing up for the Sagrada Familia. I had the passport on the tablet and there were no problems. Good was also that the subways were free without annoying small change count. We could not use the discounts of the stores because the ones we were in did not accept the pass. At Hop and Hop Bus we had to find the right bus because we first thought we could take anyone. Finding the right bus did not take long, after that it was very convenient. Even the flamenco evening was not possible with a discount from the pass, as they had not accepted it. We were in the expensive Flamenco Cordobes, entrance and buffet for 2 persons 144, -Euro cost. We would like to get a discount with the pass, as I said was not. You can save the food. These are small appetizers, all of which are called tapas and of inferior quality.
