Medici Museum was not included, otherwise it worked well with reservations
The advantage of reservations is that you don't have to wait long. Unfortunately, the signs in Florence, where you can exchange and redeem something, are not good. Was at the wrong card issuing station a few times and then had to queue again. I wasn't the only one either. Notes on the passport would be very helpful.
Skipping the long lines is great. Be warned though : if you miss a scheduled time you are out of luck and have to pay again. Check your days and times carefully. If you are from the U.S. remember - the day is before the month!
(+) Uffizi / Galleria dell'Accademia incl. Timeslot booking was great> had everything worked well the city guide was good and revealing (-) otherwise I found (in retrospect) the offer but a bit "mau". In particular, I was in need of:> the Medici Chapel> all the elements of the cathedral> Palazzo Vecchio In my view, the offer should be extended to include these sights.
Through the City Pass we have spared the queuing at the Uffizi. The time saved we were able to visit more sights.
It was spring break for the schools when we were there at the end of March. So the lines were very long with teen age Italians. Being able to go to the front of the line gave us more time to see things and not waist our time waiting in line. Well worth the cost of the city pass.
We were very pleased with the Firenze City Pass. The DaVinci Museum was very nice and I don't think we would habe visited it if it had not been included in the city pass. Only disappointing thing was the city transportation ticket that we purchased. We only used it once. W may habe used it more if it had come with a city transportation map that we could have figured out before hand. The map would have helped show bus stops, and bus numbers for particular destinations.
Florence is a great city and I really liked it. There are many interesting museums and you could spend weeks watching everything. For 2 days worth the CityPass therefore not in my opinion. Many attractions are not included at all and apparently there are also different city passes. You should inform yourself in advance. As were in the booked 2 days in the Uffizi and the Galleria dell 'Accademia. Since you have to select a time slot in advance, this has unfortunately overlapped with the planned city tour, which takes place only once a day. But otherwise everything went smoothly on site with the Citypass.
Pre-ordered: Uffizien and Galleria dell' Accademia. Entrance tickets had to be delivered by Slow Tour Tuscany. It was very difficult for the following reasons; 1) Accademia Gallery: 30.07.2023 09:00: we found by chance a representative of Slow Tour in front of the entrance who was not expecting us. He was there by chance, not expecting customers until 10:00 a.m. We were supposed to have emailed them with the City Pass in advance. However, we assumed that Turbopass had forwarded our reservation. They still gave us tickets for 9am and with direct entry. 2) At the request of the Slow Tour representative, we sent the City Pass to an email address that did not exist. 3) Uffizi Gallery: 30.07.2023 14:00: Tickets had to be picked up at the address Lungarno Acciaiuoli 10. It took me 30 minutes to find this address 300 meters from the museum in a street whose numbers repeat with different colors (10 in blue at 10 meters and 10 in black in a somewhat hidden courtyard 300 meters beyond Ponte Vecchio). Having gotten ahead, we were finally able to enter the museum in time. Conclusion: a) your communication with Slow Tour Tuscany is insufficient. b) the information for this company regarding the meeting point to receive the tickets is imprecise. In the end, we were able to do everything but we sweated and doubted too much to get the tickets.
Florence is an amazing and romantic city. Unfortunately, a visit to the Palazzo Pitti and the Boboli Gardens are not included in Florence City Pass. I would also like to had a ticket in the Palazzo Vecchio. We went with tickets to the Uffizi Gallery and the Academy Gallery at the time indicated in the tickets without any problems. Be sure to visit Florence! This is a beautiful city, delicious food, super art collections, street markets for leather goods.
I'm sorry that I bought the passport. Entry into the Uffizi (included) could not be made possible for us, but you only learn this after you have already paid for the pass. The one-hour city tour of "mytours" was below average and what was told there, was to be experienced in each guide beforehand. That one has a "fastlane", is no longer true. Without booking the "galleria del 'accademia" you would not have preferred the turbo pass. I would rather have what interests me, before book in the individual time window.
Price is high. Many museums were not included. The included museums were partly cheap anyway. The city map is extremely superficial. The only advantage was the time-saving access to the Uffizi and the Academia.
All in all, the fun was reasonably profitable, because we even received a German-speaking in a small group contrary to the promise of an English-speaking city guide ... Fortunately, I had downloaded the corresponding correspondence on my smartphone, so that we could get in touch with Hamburg. Saving the waiting time in the museums is practical, but rather expensive ...
This was a terrible experience. I went to the Uffizi Gallery at 10 am, the time indicated on my pass, and to my surprise, the staff at the Gallery told me that I couldn't use the pass since it was the last day of the free museums week, which allowed everyone to enter for free, and that I had to book an appointment like everyone else, through the waiting line. The same thing was informed to me by the staff at the Galleria Dell'Academia.
This required me to completely reschedule my visit, change the plans for my whole itinerary, waste precious time in long waiting queues, and more important, it caused me to lose the opportunity to visit attractions that otherwise I could have attended. It's very likely that a lifetime opportunity was definitely lost.
The TURBOPASS staff didn't let me know about this event in advance. Had they taken the steps to warn me, perhaps I could have rescheduled my visit. But through their lack of action, that caused a situation where I basically bought a completely useless service, they caused me an irreparable damage.
When I demanded a refund, they replied telling me that they e-mailed everyone to let them know about the free museums week. A blatant lie. They never said anything about it. Turbopass offered a partial refund, and when I insisted on the fact that they I never heard from them, again, they said that some of the attractions where free, and therefore, a full refund was not possible.
As I said. This was a horrible experience. Don't bother doing business with these people. There must be other options around.
I may have had the wrong idea about what this pass would do or I just did not use it correctly, but none of the museums recognized this pass for any admission at any time. So, I had to pay the full admission to the Uffizi and the Accademia!
