Since 2015, the Cattedrale dell'Immagine has found its home in the historic church of Santo Stefano al Ponte, an architectural gem in the heart of Florence. From Sunday 7 December 2025 to Sunday 29 March 2026, Florence’s Cattedrale dell’Immagine will host Frida Kahlo – Emotion Exhibition, a new immersive experience dedicated to the extraordinary Mexican artist. Designed for art lovers of all ages, this exhibition invites visitors to explore the vibrant world of Frida Kahlo through colors, stories, and emotions that shaped her unique vision. For about 35 minutes, the projection transforms the majestic architecture of the former church of Santo Stefano al Ponte into a living canvas, where Frida’s works and the atmosphere of Latin America come to life in an explosion of light and sound. Visitors will wander through the evocative Mirror Room, the immersive central hall, and the educational space of the Crypt, concluding their journey with the Frida Kahlo VR Experience—a dreamlike encounter with the artist’s universe through virtual reality.
