Using public transport

If you would like to use public transportation to get around the island, you can find all information about Mallorca’s public transportation on the website of the Balearic Islands’ transportation company, TIB. This transportation network connects all of the cities, towns, beaches, and touristic areas in Mallorca: www.tib.org. 

In Palma, the city’s buses are operated by their local public transportation company, EMT: www.emtpalma.es/de. 

From the Plaça d’Espanya in Palma, you can also ride the train to Inca, Manacor, or Sóller. The metro lines 1 & 2 ride from Palma, to the university, and all the way to Marratxi.
