Tours in other languages, group tours, or tours outside of regular hours are available by reservation only.

City Pass users can go directly to Napoli Sotteranea and join the next available time slot.Turbopass customers have priority but cannot skip the line. Visitors only need to show their City Pass.

  • Concerns about Claustrophobia: If you have concerns about claustrophobia, you can rest easy. The underground spaces within the Napoli Sotterranea are quite spacious, and there are no tight or narrow tunnels along the main route. There is one narrow tunnel, but it's optional. If you'd rather avoid it, you can wait for the group outside. The typical waiting time is around 10 minutes.
  • Traveling with a Stroller: Unfortunately, the Napoli Sotterranea is not stroller-friendly. To access the underground, you'll need to descend 121 low and wide steps. Elevators or escalators are not available for this purpose. However, you can leave your stroller at the main entrance and retrieve it upon exiting the underground.

How to get to Napoli Sotteranea

From the main train station (Piazza Garibaldi): Take Metro Line 1 heading towards Piscinola and get off at the Dante station. 

From Capodichino Airport: From Terminal 1 (in front of Banco di Napoli), take the ANM ALIBUS bus to the Piazza Garibaldi stop, then transfer to Metro Line 1 heading towards Piscinola and get off at the Dante station. 

From the port: Head to Piazza Municipio, then take Via De Pretis and board Bus Line R4 heading towards Cardarelli Hospital. Disembark at Piazza Dante. 

In all cases, you should plan for a short walk of a few minutes to reach your destination.
