My experience with TurboPass was very positive. It was easy to order on line and we got our tickets through the mail so that we would have them as soon as we arrived in Rome. TurboPass is worth it just for the free access to the Metro (and bus lines). We (my wife and I) also used them to get into the Colosseum and the Castel Di St Angelo. We did not use the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel ticket because we chose to take a private tour instead.
Overall, we were very pleased with the booking (from home) of the Rome City Pass. We lived a little off center (Hotel Park Dei Massimi), had a free shuttle service to the center and therefore did not need public bus. We lacked a plan of the bus lines with stops and departure times. In our opinion, an overview of the main lines should definitely be included in the City Pass.
Note: for a first visit of the Vatican Museums, one should definitely join a guided tour as one will struggle to find its way around without one. In addition, the admission is even faster with a guide as groups are highest priority.
So we found the City suitable super worthwhile. The tip to quickly enter the St. Peter's Basilica without queuing was super and worked- thank you for that. So suggestion would be a hop-on hop-off tour, the idea of the city tour itself is great, but of course it would be great if you could hop on and off wherever you like.

Simply passing the endless queues at the Vatican and the Colisseo was already worth it! Moreover, one can also travel free of charge throughout the city by public transport which was also great.
Only that one was allowed to drive the bus HopOn HopOff only one round without getting off was somehow a pity. That would be even a spoonful of sugar to it.
I found the pass really great. I think it's just a shame that all is that you have a hop on - hop off bus has, but it is a \"only one run\" actually had. Accordingly, I found no hop-on-hop-off but otherwise it's a great concept !! :)
Good and recommended only somewhat unfortunate that there is not the pass for 4 or 5 days.
Vatican and the Coliseum with the Rome City Pass!
The Vatican was in February Fridays overflowing with school classes. Booking a private tour there highly recommended. Similarly, the pre-reservation of the time slot. Otherwise, queuing for hours for an unsafe intake. Beware of highly skilled pickpockets in the subway and elsewhere. get yourself even with success brazen admission in public dining rooms of hotels. If the 3-day - pass is not enough: A group day ticket for the metro costs € 7 / person. Calculate whether the passport is worth a total of personally. It relieves certain organizationally on a first visit.
The pass arrived punctually on the date indicated. We could use it well and was worth its money. The only downside was that we had a date for the Vatican / Sistine church, which we did not use. For the first thing is the entrance at the other end of the Vatican and secondly we only wanted to go to the Sistine Chapel, but you can only visit it by walking 2 hours through the museum. This we found very sad. The Roman transport network is very good, one comes by the bus / train / tram everywhere fast and with the passport was all very easy. From us a clear purchase recommendation.
Rome is worth the trip - and probably a second and third :-) Thanks to the Rome City Pass we had the opportunity to put right after our arrival los. Given my recommendation to have them sent to the documents home definitely. Toll is to start with the turbo pass without long queues to visit. And if you then, as we also booked the same, the time window for the Vatican Museums, one marching like a VIP at the endless line past :-) The only caveat is that young people often have to solve a "free ticket". This was not always so completely without problems. But we have mastered it anyway and it did not hurt the enthusiasm. Unfortunately I missed the tip of you to take the exit for groups on the Sistine Chapel and therefore we had to queue for the St Peter Extra - So folks - previously read everything exactly :-) My conclusion - Rome sees us again soon ! And both this trip and in the other cities I will certainly again book a Turbo Pass :-)
Very good the rapid entry into the Vatican and the Colosseum. Otherwise many museums that are of little interest and other subsidies. Public transport in Rome straightforward, single tickets for the bus would have been more favorable since in downtown can be made much walking.
The Rompass has saved us a lot of time - especially in the Vatican area. We had the 6-day pass and there is a criticism that can be regarded only 4 star-attractions that other museums have to be pay. Super is the use of public transportation and a variety of discounts. We recommend the pass definitely.

The Pass is definitely a good value for money and one saves a lot regarding the entrance fees. We would have liked to have visited more but unfortunately were lacking time.
Save a lot of money you will not use the Turbo Pass, unless you visited a lot of museums but I think the time savings is just in the summer but then worth buying. Since I was in Rome in January, I had no waiting, but the immediate use of public transport without a ticket purchase (even in buses) is worth buying
One must be very persistent and much want to see, so that the pass pays off, one must not stroll.
Everything went well. In January was not much going on, in principle, I have applied the pass though, would not it needed. In full summer it is certainly useful.
The Turbo-pass seems compared to other passports more expensive, but allows numerous entrances with no waiting, and a free city tour (in addition to the free use of public transport incl. Metro up in suburbs such as Ostia Antica). Gladly again ... The only restriction for eg museums with temporally limited entrance, as dents Villa Borghese, since it may be that while the pass includes entry, but in great demand limited to two hours admission until the following day is possible (and with reservation of the museum in turn can not be entered the turbo-pass)
