We had the 6 day pass for Rome. The first 3 days ran smoothly and found the passport very handy, as we were getting faster and never needed a public transport ticket. However the remaining 3 days the pass worked no longer properly. My pass was suddenly no longer with the subways and also with attractions was usually that this was invalid. Suddenly my friend's friend did not work any more and we would have to buy more and more tickets and also underground tickets. What was peculiar was that our passports were alternating, that is to say, one of my friend's, but not my friend's, went back again. Very sad

With the Rome Pass you have preferred admission to many attractions. However, one can buy separately and added value of the Rome City Pass is low this also. The reservation for the Vatican is extremely helpful but this was also the only decisive advantage.
We bought the pass for 3 days. For the classic attractions like Colosseum, Roman Forum, Vatican City, the turbo-entry is really great to skip the really long lines. For all other attractions, there is then only discount. Fortunately, there are a lot of churches in Rome with free admission, which can be easily reached by public transport. All in all, however, I thought the pass is not bad, the price a bit too high.
We can only recommend the Rome City Pass. The city tour was also good, only the textual explanations were rather poor.
The Roma Pass would have been sufficient for 3 days for us. The option past the queue for the Vatican Museum had availed us little, since we were traveling in the off session and was seen no queue. The city tour was also only one round \"One Way\" between with no exit. We got out because we thought the trip would be a \"hop off hop on\" Tour. Cost for the pick up spot is higher than when the ball is sent to Germany. Why? The pass is worth it for people who really planned in advance what you want everything viewing per day. Previously on the opening times to gather information would have been important. The Colosseum, for example, includes 16 o'clock. Otherwise, I recommend here to also use the pass because it has less stress as much as possible to make so that the passport worth it in the end.
CityPass itself is quite ok - what I have to complain about it: The enclosed belongs City plan combined - stations (transport links across Rome) Here you are able to get a busy all the time with the metro stations or bus until there is rightly and then there are still problems with the stations - the use of the pass is easy - purely in the respective \"vehicle\" pull pass over it - that's it !!! Overall, a great thing. (We had deal with a strike by taxi drivers) Entrance to the Vatican Museum & Sistine Chapel also worked perfectly- without queuing. However, onsite we were persuaded into a guided tour in German - and obviously never had one!!! How should it be otherwise - Bella Italia !! Total positive - but the price / performance ratio is not really justified.
The Rome City Pass was worth it. Although pricewise narrowly, but even more regarding less queuing at the sights. Just a pity that one of two cards did not work, so each time we had to ask for help at the metro or museum there. The employees were aware of the problem, so they let us in without discussion. Still annoying.
In the major attractions not to queuing, is worth gold. Great value for money in this matter! Otherwise, it is priced acceptable, savings remains limited.

- Rome is walkable so we only used public transportation a couple of times. - The Colosseum and Palatine Hill, and Forum is an all-day evolution and is not very expensive. It is difficult to realistically fit another museum/attraction in so you might as well just buy your tickets on your own. Plus, the pass only covers \"basic entry\". You must pay for any upgrades in your tour.
- Having tickets to the Vatican Museums is recommended to avoid entry lines, however you can buy these separately online as well. Again, they're not that expensive and Vatican City altogether is a full day.
The use of transport with the City Pass was unclear to me. We took the bus and hoped that it would be sufficient to have the City Pass card with you.
Furthermore, the pick-up of tickets for the city tour is not optimal. Better would be a free travel ticket with no prior visit of a ticket office.
Use of the Museum card did not work in the Castel Sant'Angelo. However, the staff was very nice and let us in anyway. Otherwise the admission went smoothly and we were able to actually skip the line at the museum. Unfortunately, time was too short to use the pass extensively.
Conclusion: the card is very expensive, but it saves a lot of time and nerves. However, one should think about alternatives if there is only time for a few museums.

Very disorganized. No obvious places in Rome to explain the pass. Limited instructions in the pack. it was a taste it and see experience. In the end i think we just about got our moneys worth.

I bought the 3 days Turbopass Rome for 2 adults and 1 11 year old. The price is already steep. The documentation, how it all works, could be better. The Vaticanvisit worked great, at the Colosseum we were with about 30 minutes of waiting pure (instead of 2 hours or more). The bus ride is no need. I am also still not clear how many tickets are free. We have de facto Colosseum / Roman Forum / Vatican Museums and Castel Sant'Angelo consumed, and a 1.5-hour drive to Rome.
