The info that 3-day-pass 2 star highlights can be booked, can be recognized only after receipt of the booklet. The notice to the Galleria Borghese \"to telephone before\" does not say that this telephone call should be already at least 3 weeks before the desired date.
We bought the Rome City Pass with the expectation, so that less effort to visit the sights worth to have ... Unfortunately, this has only partially realized. Negative: The company for the city tour should urgently be changed. 1.) the Vatican is no longer approached. 2) the bus ride significantly less than ALL other suppliers in the city. 3) in the rain the roof is not closed, even if the seats are all occupied. 4) If the bus travels the tour at will - each time with a different route and other stops. And 5) last but not least, the staff inform you wrongly. We were shortly after half past four at the Coliseum and after 40 minutes of waiting time came finally also an employee of the bus company. He told us that there would be no more buses and we would have to walk to Circus Maximus on foot. Fortunately, we did not accept this rate (compared to 20 other waiters), but once we checked the normal public transport. 2 minutes later a bus came to the company and took us with us. -> Absolutely disappointing. The entry into the Vatican was much later than hoped. Even if on the order homepgae specified, a pity that there is no pre-office by e-mail or similar. The surprise came only by mail with the tickets. 4 tickets ordered - unfortunately only 2 city maps received. Public transport ticket has not worked in the bus. Castel Sant Angelo - No Fast Track entrance available. Not signposted. Also on request not allowed. Positive: Colosseum - entrance as expected Fast track. However, one would get the entry on the first Sunday of the month for free (but is our own fault that we were not informed). Shipment fast and reliable.
My recommendation: Romapass at the airport itself, at home on the computer make online reservation for Vatican museums and who needs the bus - the finds it in Rome at every corner.
The booking of the entrance to the Vatican Museums was a good thing, as otherwise many hours of waiting at the checkout would have had to be accepted. The city tour is corrosive! Problem: The bus is not planned for a tour, but for sightseeing hop on hop off, ie for exit and access as desired. This means waiting times of almost 10 minutes at almost every stop.
Adults save with the turbopass a lot of time and depending on the use also money. For children not recommended. All museums, etc. are free in Rome for children (or minimum admission) accompanied by adults. The 6-day pass consists of two 3-day passes. Very unfortunate because you can not see sights that you have not achieved in the first three days in the last three days. This is nowhere (and restricts a very one!) Villa Borghese must be reserved long before in advance by telephone. Despite reading the small print not noticed.
Roma Pass and Vatican Pass were helpful, even if the conditions of the Roma Pass were not clearly described. For the price I also expected more detailed information about the sights.
+ You can go past the queue + free metro buses - buses are so crowded that you can not go anyway. - many important sights not included, for example St. Peter's, Villa Borghese, Capitoline museums - lady at the Passausgabe could make no explanations, no questions answer Conclusion: we were in the off-season in Rome, the pass passed some waiting time. But that was it, too. Probably one comes better, if one spontaneously leads a guidance before the sights.
After a lot of research and consideration of different possibilities, we were able to convince ourselves of the Rome City Pass. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we had to realize that we had to pay at some sights a reduced price. The booking was simple and the documents clearly designed, all in all nevertheless rausgeschmissenes money.
Card is extremely expensive. No preferential entry into St. Peter's Basilica. The selection of museums is m. E. unsatisfactory. Please calculate exactly whether this is worth it !!
This Turbo Pass includes among others a free city tour. The tour must not be interrupted which is also absolutely stupid. You also get cheap earphones but anyway of no use, since the installed in the bus sockets do not work. Better to book on the spot an inexpensive Hopp On / Hopp Off Tour.
The advisory office in Rome (where we picked up the Turbo Pass) could also be improved.
Good was the fast lane access to the Vatican Museum - which one can buy onsite, too. The museum is indeed great but you will be hunted here in a crowd of people through the museum.
The Turbo Pass is not recommendable, it is far too expensive.
Not particularly worthwhile. For the money you can really make little and in the end it has not paid off for us.
We like to make city trips and therefore have experience with City passports. Compared to other cities is less necessary for the money that it costs the Rome City Pass. There are few entry-free offers, other attractions are then visible with reduced fees. The Galleria Borghese we could not visit with CityPass, although it was (for 6 days) in our CityPass. For City Pass holders a telephone registration at the Galleria Borghese is necessary. Only - how do you do when simply detecting a recorded message on the phone number that tells you that there are no tickets available? Interestingly, tickets to get on the spot for the regular price both online. A real plus point for the CityPass is the shorter waiting time for admission, particularly in the Roman Palatine and Forum.
I ordered the whole package for one adult and two children. Only lacked the maps which were then sent to me quickly. Since the package child to distinguish an adult, is only noticed in Rome that the Rompass missing. After some back and forth the money was refunded for the missing passport. That I bought only once for me a metro ticket for three days because I thought that only lacks the ticket and when we were in vain lost time hours before Collosseum, but you will not be compensated. Only the time saved on the Vatican could agree conciliatory.
Public transportation (subway and bus) we could not use because always crowded! Roman Forum the pass was not accepted. Pass for youths did not work, however, the Vatican and Castel Sant'Angelo a new ticket has been created out of goodwill, but that means waiting. Furthermore everywhere eternally long queues for security checks.
In the information center at the Vatican where you should pick up the tickets, the lady was very rude to us. In my opinion such a rude lady at the information center, where she has to do with many tourists and is constantly in contact with travelers for help or information should not work. I immediately wanted to complain to you, but then I have been thinking differently. I did not make me my vacation in Rome broken. From Rome I was generally very enthusiastic and we are planning our family vacation next year in summer there again to spend. But I will not buy the Rome City Pass again for the reason mentioned above.
Confusing - Whether the whole small museums is a matter of taste - Only for the major attractions is in my opinion too expensive - The hop on hop off bus should be crowded according to the Internet. The public transport is in the passport only if you click it and it also EXTRA paid .... My conclusion: You should also read the small letters and not be blinded by the advertising or their headlines - cancellation only with -30 € per card possible Unrentable - urgent improvements necessary eg a map design where you can see and plan which museums are in the vicinity and which one can look at each other!
We were very disappointed in the Turbo city pass ,when we tried to use the pass we were sent to
a tourist office who then sent us back to where we had come from .
We had tickets to the colosseum, that I made a mistake with timing ,noticed immediately and ask for help in changing the time ,turbo passed refused ,on another site the company changed a date for us without question .At Palatine hill we were issued adult tickets as children were free (I asked about this and was told kids don’t need a ticket)but at the attraction the children needed a ticket so were told we had to line up to get kids tickets wasting a lot of time .
The turbo pass offers too little for the money paid. No discounts in museums, etc. And if so, then max. 2 euros. And 7 euros per day for local transport in Rome are also too much. The single tickets in Rome are priced at 1.50 euros and are valid for 100 minutes, so that 2 tickets per day are completely sufficient, especially as you can do a lot of walking.
I would rate a 0 if I could. This pass is an utter waste of money. Gets you into hardly anything and the attractions it does mention a lot of them are normally free!! Do NOT buy! I could’ve spent 200+ euros a lot better!!!
